The concert that has been 6 years in the making is done and over. It happened Saturday, September 11, on MOA Open Grounds, right behind the IMAX Theater, but why is it difficult for me to get over? One answer is Rain's performance is notably awesome - EXCELLENT SO I'D SAY, that you'd be left asking out for MORE...hmmn many would agree to this, isn't this what the crowd chanted after his last song?
Rain (Jung Ji-Hoon/Bi) whom we begin to love since the Full House days as Justin. I remember how i earnestly followed this show from beginning till end that i'd fight up just to switch the television to GMA 7....not mentioning watching the full series again during last years Christmas holiday or as time permits me to do so [p.s. i'm currently watching "sang doo let's go to school" digging everything Rain (drools)].
Oh it has been a long wait yes, especially for the dedicated fans - Clouds Philippines. And finally this is happening, much like a dream come true for all of us. But moreover, just the thought of just seeing Ji-Hoon in flesh makes our heart stomps-out beating so fast...agree? Oh well, i'm still wishing to see him up-close & personal...too bad i don't have the luxury of time to do stalking at Manila Hotel lol. There's actually too many to stalk over there as Lee Jung-Jin, Daniel Henney & the rest of the casts of Runaway are also staying there.
If only i have known of the coming of this concert, i could have saved up for the mosh-pit tickets...i'm too envious to those who got those!!! (could you feel i'm still whining until now? keke). It has been a long day of waiting for me. I even wished the end of Ramadan 'Eid'l Fitr' be moved on Saturday instead of Friday so i can go to the venue earlier. At least i was able to make use of the holiday to claim my souvenir shirt at MOA foodcourt - yey, i have finally seen Clouds and of course i did probe for the concert venue. I have been to Mall of Asia several times but i actually do not know where the heck is the Open Grounds. Turns out there are actually 2, both sides of the mall...buti na lang i saw the TV5 & Smart banners before heading home cos the one that i have seen earlier does not even have the clue that there will be INTENSITY concert the following day instead it's for the Octoberfest thing. Uhmm so much with that.
Slouching at work, i cannot get to focus...my mind tends to fly to MOA. I'm finally seeing Ji-hoon in flesh tonight - much like a miracle heh! I kept checking on twitter and facebook for updates but it seems like the Clouds are off too early that day few updates online. I may not be a U-Kiss fanatic but i kept following Xander & the rest of the guys on twitter for updates...then there's the news that Kevin Woo is sick...omo please be well...turns out later this is just rumor. Time hit's 5:30 pm and work time is over...finally! I rushed to LRT Tayuman to be able to get to MOA as quickly as i can. Then took shuttle to MOA...so here i come but i was actually worrying if they'd allow me inside carrying big heavy bag 'coz i actually didn't have time to even leave my things at the boarding house. Too bad, it says on website backpacks are not allowed. Just keeping my fingers crossed on this. Aww security really is a bit tight turning my things inside and out. And was i searched twice? Phewww does it look like i'm carrying a bomb inside my shoulder bag???????? Then alas, they allow me to get in, what a relief. This is it...the concert venue with four big screens showing the advertisements of the concert sponsors. It seems like eternity waiting for the concert to start. People comes rushing behind me taking the best corners to watch the show. Watch out for some lightning & thunder across the skies, not even a single star shining up there. Hope it will not rain tonight, definitely not tonight 'chaebal' (please)....
The concert opens past 8 in the evening, KC Montero hosted the show, i'm not quite surprised of his presence because I have read his tweet with regards to doing this. Christian Bautista, opens up the show singing Beautiful Girl, The way you Look at Me and other hit songs.
Then U-Kiss time to perform, although i am not fan of U-Kiss, I root for Xander...him having Pinoy roots and the young man is too adorable. If i'm of their age, i'd definitely like them, why the guys are so cute + they can sing + great dance moves = idol group girls would definitely go gaga. Not mentioning most of them can speak English, we all know that language may sometimes be a barrier and singing is no less a form of communication. Opening with their hit song Bingeul, Bingeul. Oh Kiss-Me's definitely know their song...they've been singing & chanting quite loud to basically all the songs that U-Kiss sung. But i love their rendition of Boyz II Men 'End of the Road', for one they're Korean, so it may take too much effort for them to sing the song. The last song is ManManHani that leads the girls to faint eh?! With the promise to come back with their new album at the end of this year they bid goodbye.
And then there's LONG silence...where is Rain??? Somebody's cleaning up the stage and again the endless advertisements are cued again on-screens. I'd like to scream...WE WANT BI!!! Ughh i'm not the only one waiting...lots of people around me, i guess most of them are U-Kiss fans uttering 'pano? uwian na? 'ang tagal nman ni Rain, pa VIP'. Hoi people, he is indeed the VIP for tonights event hehe. Dare to leave? you'll indeed miss the highlight of the concert. And yes, finally screen on the stage opens...it's raining...
IT'S RAINING IN MANILA!!! He started singing It's Raining while popping up the stage...yes definitely this is the moment that we have been waiting! I honestly feel i'm in limbo, somewhat asking myself is this really true? I am soo happy because he sang the 2 songs that i have been expecting him to sing - Rainism & the epic HIP SONG that i love so much, videos of which i keep watching over and over and over again...plus the ever popular LOVE SONG - Rain fanatics & non-fans surely dies when he does the body wave hahaha. With his charm, the Kiss-Me's screams & drools along, the video which i recorded using my phone showcases only loud squeals & fans singing along - was it me? Boy did i laugh when the girls kept asking for rice...nasa stage ang 'ulam' heh!

***With all the shaking of my hands, pushing crowds and tip-toeing over the towering crowds above are some of the photos that i have captured so please bear with me, my sincerest apologies hehe***
