There has been recent buzz locally and widely thru the internet since the DoT launched their new slogan 'Pilipinas Kay Ganda' (Kay Ganda - locally means so beautiful) last November 15, 2010.
According to Federation of Tourism Industries of the Philippines Inc. (FTIP) President Alejandra Clemente ”the slogan did not ignite much excitement. Maybe they rushed in coming out with a new brand. But what we need is something that would create a great impact.”
Honestly speaking Wow Philippines is much catchy as compared to the recent one. And as this is for tourism purposes the slogan should have word that foreigners does understand unless government is only addressing the local tourism then they should use the native language as slogan.
So i'd still say WOW! PHILIPPINES...two words says it all!
